The Medicare Savings Program (MSP) will see a significant boost in 2023.
The program helps older adults and people with disabilities who are living on limited incomes pay their Medicare Part B premiums and automatically enroll them in “Extra Help,” the federal prescription drug subsidy program.
Starting in January, the new MSP monthly income eligibility limits will increase to an estimated $2,107 for an individual and $2,839 for a couple.
MSP has no resource limits in place as is the case with Medicaid, making it a vital lifeline for many people who might otherwise struggle to pay their Medicare costs.
