Wearing a mask is serious business…
We have been hearing for almost a year about the importance of wearing a mask. Today masks are part of our daily routine. It is the new fashion accessory to coordinate with our outfits.
When you wear a mask, you’re not only protecting yourself, you are also protecting your loved ones and your neighbors. Think of it as friends doing their part to help each other stay safe.
Your mask is one of the most important items you should have when leaving your home. Keep extras in the car, at the office, or in your bag.
It’s also important that your mask is on properly, especially when visiting a pharmacy. Keeping our essential workers safe is vital in ensuring they can continue to serve their communities.
We realize it’s a challenge for some people to keep a mask on all day. If you know in advance that you’ll be in an environment where wearing a mask for a prolonged period of time is required, you can start to prepare your body. How do you do that? You start by building up your mask tolerance. Try wearing a mask for short periods of time several days before the event, increasing the amount of time each day.
There are lots of great resources online on the proper ways to wear (and not wear) a mask. One article that we recommend comes from John Hopkins called “How to Properly Wear a Face Mask.”

TIP OF DAY: Give yourself a mask (fresh air) break during the day. Go outside into a spacious area where you can safely remove your mask.
